On July 28th, 2025, the dedicated team from the Aburi Fire Station, Akuapim South, led by DOII Mavis A. Ayamga, visited St. Elisabeth’s Home (formerly Lighthouse Christian Children’s Home) in Jamaisco–Odumabrade to conduct a Fire Safety Education session for our children and staff.
This visit was part of the Ghana National Fire Service’s ongoing community outreach to equip homes, schools, and organizations with life-saving fire prevention skills.

What We Learned
The session was both interactive and practical, empowering everyone with essential knowledge to prevent and respond to fires. The officers covered key safety topics, including:
- Basics of fire prevention at home
- Common causes of fires in households and offices
- Live demonstration on using fire extinguishers
- Practical “Stop, Drop & Roll” drill for personal safety
The children participated enthusiastically, eager to learn how to protect themselves and their surroundings in case of an emergency.
Special Thanks to Our Heroes
We extend heartfelt gratitude to the entire team from the Ghana National Fire Service for their time, dedication, and passion for safety education.
